Shoutout to the guy at my local library who recommended a show I'd never heard of
I was grabbing a DVD last Tuesday at the library in Portland and this older guy saw me holding a crime drama. He said "If you like that, try The Bridge instead, it's got way better pacing." I was skeptical cause I'd never heard of it, but I figured why not since it was free to check out. Turned out to be a Scandinavian show with a female detective who has some kind of social disorder, and I burned through all 4 seasons in two weeks. Has anyone else ever gotten a great recommendation from a random stranger at the library or somewhere weird?

Read somewhere that show was based on a real bridge between Sweden and Denmark.

Hate to be that guy, but the show is totally fictional - the bridge plot is just a gimmick. The Øresund Bridge is real, yeah, but the body on the midpoint and the whole cross-border murder thing? Made up for TV drama. Plus, the cops in real life would never let a Swedish and Danish detective run a case together like that without some serious jurisdictional red tape, you know?
