Spent a whole day editing a video for a show review and realized I watched the wrong season
I was rewatching this crime drama to put together a review for a forum post. Got four episodes in and noticed a character was acting different. Turns out I was watching season 2 instead of season 1. So I had to start all over, wasted like 6 hours of editing. Has anyone else accidentally watched a show out of order and confused themselves?

Oh man that's brutal... I totally feel your pain on this one. I did something similar with a fantasy series last year, watched three episodes of season 2 before realizing my mistake and the whole plot made zero sense. The worst part is when you've already cut together the good bits and synced them to music and everything feels like it was for nothing. Six hours is rough though, I think I would've just taken the L and posted the review anyway claiming it was a "prequel" or something.

Wait, @finleybutler said something about a "prequel" idea - I mean, isn't that actually kind of the same thing as a flashback? But yeah, idk man, that whole thing sounds like a nightmare. I've done something similar with a cooking competition show where I watched the finale of season 4 first and spent like two hours wondering why the winner was crying about a cake I never saw them bake. It's the worst feeling when you're already halfway through editing and you realize the whole timeline is wrong, like your brain just refuses to accept the mistake because you've put too much work in already.
