Had a random chat with a game shop owner in Austin who warned me about Kickstarter addiction
He said he's seen dozens of people drop over $500 on campaigns for games they never even unbox, and honestly that hit different because I just realized I backed three games last month I haven't touched yet.

Man, that shop owner was dead on. I'm sitting on like eight Kickstarter boxes right now that I haven't even opened. It's a real problem. I'll see a slick trailer or a cool mini and just click back without thinking about whether I'll actually play it. Last year I spent almost $700 on a big board game bundle and it's still shrink wrapped in my closet. The worst part is I keep doing it. Every time a new campaign pops up with exclusive stuff, I tell myself "this one's different" and it never is.
