Honestly, buying a $200 board game table insert saved my game nights
Tbh, my group kept knocking pieces off our regular table during Gloomhaven. I saw a custom wood insert online and decided to go for it. It took about a week to arrive and I had to put it together myself. Now the map tiles and our cards stay put, and we actually finish our sessions. Has anyone else found a good fix for keeping big games organized?

Totally get it, we had the same chaos with Twilight Imperium. Ships were sliding everywhere and someone almost lost a whole fleet off the edge. I grabbed a neoprene playmat that covers the whole table, and it was a game changer. Pieces don't slide at all now, and rolling dice is way quieter. Best forty bucks I ever spent for game night.

Yeah but $200 sounds crazy for a box. The_gray's mat idea seems way more reasonable.

Wait, you spent $200 just to keep some game pieces from falling off the table? I mean, I get that Gloomhaven is a lot of stuff, but that seems like a lot of money for a box. Couldn't you just use some cheap plastic trays or something? Idk, maybe it's just me but that feels like a serious fix for a kinda small problem.

Honestly, if it works for your group and you can afford it, who cares. Some people spend way more on way dumber stuff.
