Logged my 500th play of Catan last night and I think I'm finally done with it
Sat down with the same four people in my Denver group and halfway through the third trade I just felt nothing. Does anyone else hit a play count where a game stops being fun, or is it just me?

My buddy Rob hit this same wall with Catan around his 300th game. He kept showing up every Thursday because the group was fun, but he told me he started dreading the setup more than enjoying the game. One night he just watched instead of playing and realized he had way more fun talking to everyone while they rolled dice. Now he brings a different game every other week and the group mixes it up. The people were never the problem, it was doing the exact same thing every single time. Maybe your Denver group just needs some new games in the rotation and Catan can rest for a while.
