Hit 1,000 days without a leak on a job in Gary. That number still throws me.

Walked into the Gary mill last Tuesday and the maintenance log showed 1,000 days straight on a steam drum I helped weld up back in 2021. That's over two and a half years of 24/7 pressure. No pinholes, no weeping, nothing. It's just a number but it made me stop and think about how many guys I've seen patch the same joint twice in a month. Has anyone else hit a random milestone like that on a long-term install?

Hitting a thousand days is just luck until somebody checks tomorrow.

Exactly what I was thinking @miller.paul! I've been over 500 days twice and both times I jinxed it the next morning. It's like the universe is just waiting for you to get comfortable.
