Spent 45 minutes chasing a misaligned flange today

I was trying to fit a 12-inch flange onto a pressure vessel and kept thinking the gasket was off. Turns out the bolt holes were drilled 1/16th off center from the factory. Has anyone else dealt with parts that just refuse to line up no matter how much you tweak them?

Yeah that'd bug me too. Hard to unsee once you notice it.
