Hot take: that mint green on warm gray thing ate 3 days of my life last week
I was building a menu board for a taco spot in Reno and paired a bright mint green (#98FF98) with a warm gray background, thinking it would pop like everyone says. Nope. It looked like a hospital waiting room, and I kept tweaking the hex codes for 3 days before I figured out the gray was too yellow. Dropping it to a cooler gray fixed everything in about 10 minutes. Anyone else get wrecked by a color that looked fine in the swatch tool but died on the actual print?

Spent a whole afternoon on a similar mess with a bakery logo, mint paired with a beige that turned everything into a sad bathroom. Funny how the swatch tool makes every combo look like a million bucks and then the print guy hands you back a crime scene. Took a cooler gray to save yours, mine needed the green itself to drop a few shades darker. Three days of hex tweaking is basically a rite of passage at this point.
