Found out most book clubs spend under 15 minutes on the actual book, got this from a podcast with a librarian.

But is that even a problem? Sounds like the social part is the main event.

Kind of like how book clubs are really just hangouts with a side of talking, same way people go to the gym just to chat by the water cooler more than actually work out.
