Just hit 50 pages of notes on a single book club pick and it's kind of wild
Our group chose 'Infinite Jest' this month, and I started jotting down thoughts. I looked at my notebook today and I'm at 52 pages, mostly just questions and arguments with the footnotes. It matters because I've never written more than a few lines for a book before, and now I'm bringing a binder to our meetup. Has anyone else ever gone this deep down the rabbit hole on a single book?

Holy crap, that's amazing. I did the same thing with House of Leaves. Filled a whole legal pad with maps of the hallway and notes about the different typefaces. My book club thought I'd lost it.

My buddy and I actually used red string on a corkboard for the Whalestoe Letters section. We had to stop when his cat turned it into a toy and we lost all our work, lmao.

Maps and typeface notes sound like the point to me. That book club just didn't get it.
