The exact quote from my book club host that made me pause
Last Tuesday at our monthly meetup in Portland, our host Deb said she skips the last 50 pages of every novel she reads because endings always feel rushed. That really got under my skin, and we ended up debating for an hour if a bad ending ruins a good book. Has anyone else run into someone with a hard rule like that for how they read?

Yeah, I just avoid book clubs that come with reading rules now.
