Had a perfect binding day on Saturday with zero mess ups
I finally got a whole stack of 5 books done in one day without any glue drips or crooked spines. Even the French grooves came out clean on every single one. Has anyone else had those days where everything just clicks?

Ask what kind of glue you were using, because that always makes or breaks my day. I've had those perfect runs fall apart just from switching to a new bottle of adhesive. Your French grooves coming out clean on top of everything else sounds like a proper win.

Wait, which brand of glue were you using when it all went right? I've had the same thing happen - switched to a new bottle mid-project last month and my edges started lifting within an hour. Drove me nuts trying to figure out what changed. That clean French groove work is no joke either, takes a steady hand and the right tack to pull those off. Sounds like you really nailed the setup on that run despite the glue drama. Solid win for sure.

Wait, you got five books done in a single day with zero glue drips? That's like finding a unicorn in my workshop. I've had days where I'm lucky to get two through without some kind of adhesive disaster, especially when I'm trying to get those French grooves to cooperate. You must have been in some kind of perfect flow state where everything just fell into place, because that kind of consistency is almost supernatural in this craft.
