Hitting 100 hand-sewn books really caught me off guard

I've been binding as a side gig for about 4 years now, mostly doing small runs for indie authors. Last month I counted my finished projects and realized I crossed 100 books without even noticing. Did any of you have a number like that sneak up on you?

That "caught me off guard" bit really hit home for me. I had a similar moment last year when I was stacking my completed journals for a craft fair photo (you know how it goes, trying to get that perfect lighting) and I realized I had 73 of them sitting there. I honestly had to count them twice because I didn't feel like I'd been that busy. It's funny how the numbers just pile up when you're not keeping a strict tally, especially with those small projects you think won't add up to much.
