I always picked ferns until I tried mosses for a terrarium last month

For years I was team fern for shade spots. I figured moss was just boring green stuff that needed constant misting. Then I set up a small closed terrarium in a jar from Goodwill and used pillow moss I found on a log behind my apartment. It took off like crazy with almost zero care and stayed green for 3 weeks straight. Now I'm thinking of swapping out half my fern pots for moss species instead. Has anyone else had better luck with moss in low light corners of a house?
