My uncle in Boise spotted a problem with my coffee shop logo from across the room
I've been messing around with a logo for a small coffee cart I want to open, and I was pretty proud of how it looked on my laptop screen. My uncle came over for dinner last week, glanced at it from about 15 feet away in the kitchen, and said he couldn't read the shop name at all because the font was way too thin. I bumped the stroke weight up and swapped to a darker brown, and suddenly the whole thing worked at a glance. My big lesson was that if it doesn't read from across a room, it won't work on a sign or a cup sleeve either. Does anybody here test their logos by shrinking them way down or stepping back, or do you just trust it looks fine on screen?
