That one critique about my logo kerning still stings 6 months later
I posted a logo I designed for a friend's BBQ joint in the subreddit and some guy said the spacing between the 'B' and 'Q' looked like a drunk guy's teeth. At first I was mad but then I stared at it and yeah, he was totally right. I tightened the kerning by 2 points and now the whole thing reads way cleaner. Has anyone else had a random comment totally wreck how you see your own work?

Oh man, talk about getting roasted by a stranger with 20/20 vision. I had a similar thing happen with a font choice I was obsessed with until someone called it “hospital bathroom sign vibes” and I could never unsee it. It’s wild how one random internet comment can just permanently hijack your eyeballs like that.

Oh man, that's a brutal but very specific critique. Doesn't it feel weird when someone else's words just permanently rewire your brain about your own work?
