Why does nobody talk about overstyled logos in healthcare
I was sitting in a doctor's waiting room last week and noticed their logo had like 4 different fonts and a gradient that looked like a sunset. It made the clinic feel more like a cheap car dealership than a place I'd trust with my health. Does anyone else think medical brands should stick to simpler, cleaner looks instead of trying to be trendy?

I read something about how overdesigned logos actually make people trust a business less. That sunset gradient sounds like they hired the same branding team that does mattress stores.

Hard disagree. That 2023 study from Stanford actually showed that detailed logos increased trust by 23% in service industries like accounting and law firms. Simple logos work for tech startups because people expect minimalism there, but for something like a local restaurant or a bakery, an overdesigned logo with gradients and textures signals that the owner actually cares about their business. The sunset gradient thing could work fine if the colors are warm and not trying to be trendy like those ugly neon palettes. People trust a place more when it looks like the owner spent time and money making it look professional, not like they threw a logo together in 10 minutes on Canva.
