Can we talk about spending $300 on a laser level for brick coursing?

I bought one last month thinking it would speed up my layout, but honestly, I'm still faster with my string line and story pole. Some guys on my crew say it's a game changer for long walls, but I feel like I wasted the cash. Who here actually uses one regularly versus sticking with the old ways?
