Three years ago I paid $78 for a fancy budgeting app and now I'm still using a free spreadsheet

Last week I found the old subscription emails and realized I wasted over $280 on that app before I finally admitted a simple Google Sheet does everything I actually need, so has anyone else gone back to basics after getting burned by a spendy tool?

Oh yeah @taylor_barnes59, now I just save money on printer paper instead.

Totally agree, it's like the more we try to save in one place, we end up spending MORE somewhere else. It's the same with those Costco runs where you buy in bulk to save but then waste half of it.
