Heard someone at the craft store say they use their bullet journal to track which plants die first

I nearly dropped my washi tape when a stranger told me she lost 12 succulents in 6 months before she started logging everything from watering dates to how much direct sun each one got, and now she swears her journal is the only reason her ficus is still alive - has anyone else accidentally killed a plant and fixed it with better tracking?

Used to roll my eyes at plant tracking, thought it was overkill. But then I killed a perfectly healthy pothos because I kept watering it on a schedule even though the soil was still wet. Started logging the day I actually water and checking moisture levels first, and my plants went from barely surviving to actually thriving. It's wild how much just writing down the date you last watered and if the leaves looked droopy can save a $15 plant from the trash. Your mileage may vary but it definitely changed my mind about the whole thing.
