My weekly spread finally clicked after 6 months of trying

I was at a coffee shop last week and overheard someone say they only use 3 colors max in their bujo. I had been using like 8 different markers and my layouts looked chaotic. Cut it down to black, one blue, and one accent color for my weekly spread and suddenly it actually makes sense to look at. Has anyone else found that less colors actually helps you stick with it?

Man, that's almost exactly what happened with me. I was using a rainbow of highlighters and it looked like a clown exploded on the page. Cutting down to just two colors made it way easier to spot what actually needed doing. Less visual noise means my brain stops trying to process everything at once.

Switched to just two colors myself and it was night and day. My notes actually make sense now instead of looking like a highlighter threw up on them.
