Shoutout to the guy who talked me into a proper scabbard
I always thought a basic sheath was fine for my boning knives, but after a nasty cut from a loose blade, I dropped $80 on a Kydex scabbard. It clips right to my apron and the knife clicks in solid, no wiggle at all. Anyone have a good brand for a breaking knife scabbard that won't break the bank?

Oh man, I was the same way. My old leather sheath was so floppy I’d basically just carry the knife in my hand all day to avoid the hassle. Finally got a proper one and felt like a fool for waiting. That solid click is worth every penny when you’re not worrying about a blade finding its way into your thigh.

Honestly, that's a lot of money for a plastic holder. My old leather sheath has worked fine for years if you just pay attention. Seems like an extra step for no real gain.
