Shoutout to the arcade in Reno where a sticky joystick button ruined my high score run
Was at the Atlantis arcade in Reno on Friday and my Galaga run died at 287,000 points because the fire button on player 2 kept sticking and double firing. I opened the machine door and blew out about a decade of dust from the microswitch, worked fine after that. Anyone else carry a little can of air for situations like this, or do you just switch machines?

Sticky buttons are the worst. That Atlantis arcade has some old machines that never get cleaned inside. I keep a mini can of air in my backpack for this exact reason, takes ten seconds to fix and saves your whole run. Blowing out a dusty microswitch beats walking away from a good game any day.
