Bought a $19 rack for buttons and clip art last month, total waste
Saw a TikTok about storing loose pin backs in a spice rack and grabbed one at Target in Naperville for $19, but the slots were too shallow and half my buttons slid out overnight. Anyone got a cheap storage setup that actually holds different sizes without dumping them all over the carpet?
My mom bought one of those acrylic nail polish racks from a Dollar Tree in Aurora and had the exact same problem. Things like this always look good in the video because the person filming already picked the perfect items to fit the slots. Real life has fat buttons, tiny pins, weird shaped clips, and nothing ever fits the way it did on a screen. It's like when people buy matching bins for their pantry and then find out a box of cereal doesn't fit in any of them. The rack wasn't the problem, the one size fits all idea was. I ended up using a shallow tackle box with the little dividers, since you can move them around for whatever size junk you've got.
