Oh man, that unlocked a memory. I used to think yellow text on an orange background was a great, sunny choice for my blog. This was before dark mode was even a thing, but man, it was basically just a solid beige block. You had to highlight it to read anything. I guess we all learn about contrast the hard way.

Actually used to think the same way, that it was just extra clutter. Then I saw a project where one extra weight made everything click. Still needs balance though, you're right about that.
