Hot take: I keep seeing people use generic alcohol wipes on mirror box seals
It degrades the foam way faster, I just had to replace a seal on a 5D Mark II that was only 2 years old because of it. What's your go-to cleaner for those delicate parts?
I just use a dry microfiber cloth on my mirror box seals. The foam really doesn't need any liquid cleaner, right? A little gentle pressure gets any dust off.
Twelve years I've been shooting with Olympus gear and I learned that lesson the hard way on my E-M5. A damp microfiber (barely moist, like barely) worked way better for me than any of those spray-on cleaners. Dry cloths just push the dust deeper into those foam corners, you know?
