I finally figured out why my tent was always damp in the mornings
For years, I'd pack my old North Face Stormbreak 2 with the rainfly rolled inside the tent body, thinking I was saving space. Last fall, camping near Lake Tahoe, I woke up to that familiar cold dampness and a friend pointed out my mistake. I was trapping all the moisture from the day before inside the packed tent, and it never had a chance to dry out before I set it up again. Has anyone else had a gear storage habit that was actually causing a problem?

Honestly that's such a classic mistake, I did the same thing for ages. Tbh I used to cram my sleeping bag straight into its stuff sack while it was still a bit damp from morning dew. Ngl it led to some seriously funky smells and a bag that just wouldn't stay warm. Finally figured out I had to let it air out completely, even if that meant leaving it loose in the car for the drive home.

Yeah the loose in the car trick saved my bag too.
