I finally got my kid's birthday invite done in Canva after Figma ate 2 hours of my Saturday
So my daughter's 7th birthday party is in 11 days and I sat down Saturday morning to make a quick invite. Figured I'd do it in Figma since I use it for the flyers at our church food drive, but the auto layout kept squishing my text every time I swapped the photo of her at the zoo. I must have undone the same move 30 times before I gave up. Opened the same idea in Canva and had the whole thing done, printed, and texted to the other parents in about 25 minutes. I think the real lesson is that Figma is for when you need control and Canva is for when you need it done before the toddler wakes up from his nap. Anyone else keep a Canva tab open just for the fast stuff while Figma handles the real work?
