The 50 dollar cardboard chair that lasted 8 minutes

I spent a whole weekend building a full-sized armchair out of cardboard and hot glue because I thought it would be a genius prototype for a furniture line. Looked great in photos, felt sturdy enough to sit on. Got my buddy to film the big reveal and sat down - collapsed in like 8 seconds flat. Lost about 50 bucks on materials and two days of my life, but at least my cat loves the wreckage. Anyone else built something that looked solid but just buckled immediately?

Reinforced the bottom with wooden dowels. Held up way better after that.
