Switched from cold calling to LinkedIn DMs and got 3x more leads in 2 months

I spent about a year doing the whole cold calling thing for my real estate side hustle. It was draining. Most people hang up or just say no before you even finish your first sentence. Then I tried sending short, direct messages on LinkedIn instead. Nothing pushy, just asking if they were open to a 5 minute chat about their plans. I sent about 50 messages a week instead of making 100 calls. In two months I closed two deals from DMs and had five more serious conversations. Cold calling gave me maybe one lead every couple months. Has anyone else had better luck with one method over the other?

way less brutal" is the perfect way to put it. It's like everything is shifting to be less direct and more about mutual interest. You see it everywhere now, not just sales, people just don't want to be interrupted anymore.
