Hand nailing versus my Paslode for baseboards

I chose to hand nail all the baseboards in a 2,000 square foot house last month. Customers and other carpenters told me I was crazy. Said the Paslode is faster and cleaner. Yeah maybe faster but I got a better flush fit on every miter joint. No nail pops later and I fixed all the gaps before I even set the gun down. Has anyone else gone old school on trim and stuck with it?

Nah I gotta disagree with you there. I've run thousands of feet of trim with my Paslode and never had it kick a board sideways if I'm holding it right.

Wait, are you telling me there's carpenters out there who actually blow through a whole house of trim without having to re-cut at least three pieces because the gun kicked the board sideways? I admire your patience, my Paslode and I had a real love-hate relationship last week, mostly hate when I shot a nail through a miter I just spent ten minutes dialing in.
