My brand new 12-inch miter saw blade cracked on the third cut yesterday.

I was crosscutting some white oak on a job in Brookline and the carbide tooth flew off halfway through, so I had to finish the trim with my old circular saw and a straightedge - has anyone else had a Dewalt blade fail like that right out of the box?

Wait, was it actually the blade that cracked or just a tooth flew off? Those are two different problems. A blade cracking is way different than losing a tooth.

Man I totally thought a cracked tooth and a cracked blade were the same thing until I had one split clean in half mid-cut last month. You're saying the tooth could just pop off and the blade is still fine to use?
