Spent 15 years pulling nails out wrong before a guy at a job site showed me the trick
I always pulled finish nails from the side with the hammer claw, bent the crap out of everything. Three months ago this old timer on a kitchen remodel in Austin gave me a pair of end nippers and showed me how to grab the nail by the head and roll it out. Has anyone else had one of those moments where you feel like an idiot for not knowing something so basic?

It's wild how we just accept doing things the hard way until someone shows us better.

Hard way builds character though. Half the time the "better way" is just cutting corners that'll bite you later.
