Spent a whole day choosing between pocket screws and dowels for a set of cabinets

I went with pocket screws to save time, but now the face frames are fighting me on alignment. How do you guys handle joinery when the client wants it done yesterday?

Man my buddy tried the same thing on a rush job for a kitchen remodel and spent the next two days shimming every single joint. Said he shoulda just stuck with dowels and taken the extra hour.

Went through the exact same headache last spring on a set of pantry cabinets. Had to adjust every single face frame with a block plane after the pocket screws pulled them wonky. Dowels would have saved me a whole afternoon of cussing.
