A customer in Phoenix said my seams looked like a road map, took me a week to get it
I was finishing a living room job off the 101 and the homeowner walked over, pointed at a seam near the doorway, and said it looked like a road map. I thought I'd stretched it fine, but she was right, the seam had a slight ripple under the pile. I went back and re-laid that piece with a power stretcher instead of my knee kicker, and it sat flat as glass. Has anyone else had a customer point out a flaw you couldn't see until they said it, and did it change how you check your work now?
Yeah that's exactly what happened to me on a stripe carpet job, once they said it I couldn't unsee the little dip under the light. Now I always do a final walk with a flashlight at an angle before I call it done, saves me the embarrassment.
