inA customer brought in a 1978 Canon AE-1 last week with a shutter that sounded like gravel. He said 'I think it's just dirty, can you blow it out?'
That gravel sound... reminds me of my old car's transmission right before it gave up. Same kind of expensive crunch.

inHot take: I stopped using a straight razor for necklines last winter and my work got better
Yeah, and here I was thinking a straight razor was some kind of badge of honor. Guess @the_harper and I both learned that the right tool is just the one that works best, not the one that looks cool. Who knew being less of a purist could make you better at your job?

inHeads up about the new 'Gloss Lock' spray from Luminous Pro
Honestly I had the exact opposite experience with Gloss Lock. Used it on three clients with balayage last month and got a crazy smooth finish with zero stickiness. Maybe it reacts differently to certain products underneath, like a leave-in conditioner or something. Tbh I always do a quick test spray on my hand first to check the feel before I put it on hair.

inHad to pick between a clean serif or a quirky script for a bakery logo
Man, scripts can be tricky. I've seen a few local cafes use them and they look great for a while, but some do start to feel old. The key is keeping everything else super simple. If your script is the only fancy part, and the rest of the branding is clean, it usually lasts longer.

inHad to choose between a $300 immersion blender or a new stockpot for my soup special.
Upgraded to a real carbon steel wok for stir fries. The heat control is a different world. My broccoli actually gets that restaurant char instead of steaming in its own juice.
