I finally learned my lesson about cheap tack strips

Bought a bulk pack of those thin tack strips from a discount place about 2 years ago. They snapped on almost every seam and I had to redo a whole living room in Des Moines, wasted maybe $120 and a full Saturday. Anyone else quit buying the flimsy stuff after one bad job?

Guess the floor was the only thing holding those strips together.

Three different times this month I've had the same thing happen with cheap storage bins, the plastic handles just snapped off like they were made of stale crackers. @webb.xena it's like manufacturers know the weak point is always where two materials meet, so they save money there and hope nobody looks too close. The floor holding those strips together is just the latest version of that trick, I swear they design half this stuff to fail right after the warranty ends.
