Vent: My brand new immersion circulator died mid-service last Saturday
I was in the middle of a 12-top of steaks during Saturday dinner rush and my Anova just... stopped heating. Water temp dropped from 134 to 110 in like 10 minutes. Had to pan-sear everything and finish in the oven, which threw off timing for the whole station. Anyone else had a circulator crap out at the worst possible moment? What did you replace it with?

Saw a thread on Reddit last week where like 5 people said their Anova died within 6 months of buying it. I think there's a bad run of pumps or something. I grabbed a Joule on sale after my first Anova went out, been solid for about a year now with zero issues. It's smaller and louder but it hasn't left me hanging yet. If I were you I'd check the return policy first though, some of them have a decent warranty.
