Before-and-after on a creosote-heavy stack in an old house near Pittsburgh

I swept a chimney last month that hadn't been touched in 15 years and the difference was night and day. The buildup was so bad you could barely see daylight through it, but after a good scraping and some rotary cleaning, the draft kicked in like new. Anyone else run into a job where the homeowner let it go way too long?

Did you check for any hidden creosote drips in the smoke chamber too? That stuff can be tricky if it's been sitting for years and often needs a few extra passes with the rotary tool.

Rotary tool won't cut it for old drips, @fiona_murray. Need a wire brush first.
