The mistake people make with creosote buildup timing.

Honestly, I keep seeing guys in our area wait too long between sweeps on oil furnaces. I had a regular in Cincinnati who went 18 months and his flue was almost completely clogged with that gummy creosote. Took me an extra 45 minutes and a rotary tool to clear it out. Has anyone else noticed this is way worse with #2 heating oil than wood?
