Thought I'd never touch a rotary brush, then a guy in Kansas City pulled one out on a soot-choked flue
Watched him clear 30 feet of glazed creosote in about 20 minutes at a job on Cherry Street last month, and my flat wire brush would've been there all day. Anybody else switch over after seeing it done in person?
Funny how it takes watching somebody else do the job in half the time to make you eat your words about a tool you swore off. Thirty feet of glazed creosote in twenty minutes sounds less like skill and more like that brush just chews through stuff your flat wire one naps on. The old way works until you see the new way, then suddenly you feel silly for all those hours you spent fighting a chimney. Guess the guy in Kansas City earned himself a convert that day.
