Can we talk about the time a bakery owner in Cleveland told me my menu board font looked like a doctor's note?
I always figured if it was readable to me it was fine, but watching her squint from 15 feet while holding a tray of donuts made me switch everything to bold sans serif that same afternoon. Now I test every menu at arm's length on my phone before sending it, does anyone else do the squint test or is that just me?

Man, the squint test is real and I do something close to it. I tape my draft menu to the fridge and stand on the far side of the kitchen to see if I can still read the prices without leaning in. If I have to guess at a number, it's too small and back to the drawing board it goes.
