Hot take: My electric bill was $22 lower this month and I'm kinda shook

I finally got serious about unplugging stuff and turning off power strips, which I thought was pointless. The bill said we used 87 fewer kilowatt-hours than the same month last year. Has anyone else actually seen a real difference from the 'vampire power' stuff?

Wait, 87 kilowatt-hours in just one month? That's way more than I ever thought those little standby lights could add up to. Makes me wonder what I'm paying for with my game consoles and that old DVD player always plugged in.

Did you see that article @troycarter about how a cable box can use as much power as a fridge?
