I was dead wrong about those meal prep services
For like 2 years I kept telling everyone those meal prep kits were just expensive trash that made more plastic waste. Then my cousin in Denver bought me a 3 box trial from one of them as a joke. I finally caved and tried it when I had no groceries. The ingredients came pre-portioned so I stopped throwing out half my farmers market haul every week. Has anyone else found a way to reduce food waste that actually stuck?

Oh man, I feel this one so hard. I spent a solid year dunking on those meal kits every chance I got, calling them a scam for lazy people. Then my sister signed me up for one as a "gift" during a busy month and I was so annoyed. Turns out I was the fool all along because my fridge stopped looking like a science experiment gone wrong. Now I'm practically a spokesperson for them just to save face.

Fool" is exactly how I felt too. I started doing something simple where I chop up all my veggies the day I get them and stick them in clear jars so I actually see what I have. It's not as fancy as the meal kits but it cut my waste by like half because I'm not forgetting bags of carrots in the back of the fridge.
