Was totally skeptical about those reusable grocery bags until I actually counted

I used to think reusable bags were just a trend for people trying to look good at the store. My mom nagged me for years to switch, and I kept using plastic ones cause they were free and easy. Then I saw a stat that said the average plastic bag gets used for 12 minutes but takes 500 years to break down. That stuck with me, so I finally bought 10 of those thick woven bags from Target for like $15. After 6 months of using them, I've only had one rip out on me, and I don't feel guilty about tossing it. Honestly the biggest win was not having a pile of bags under my sink anymore. Has anyone else found a brand that actually lasts more than a year without the handles fraying?

Those woven bags from Target are decent for the price. The handles are usually the first thing to go on any brand I've tried. How many pounds of groceries are you stuffing in there before the handle starts to fray?

@tessawebb same, handles always fail first. Solidarity with the frayed bag struggle.
