Ran my plotter at half speed for a test and it somehow got worse
I had a poster job for a customer in Phoenix, 11 sheets of 13x19 cardstock, and the corners kept curling up on the last inch of every page. So I figured slower would be smoother and set the plotter to half speed as an experiment. Instead of fixing anything, the ink pooled in those little curl spots and I ended up with 6 ruined sheets and a smeared magenta line down one edge. Turns out the curl was from the paper sitting in my garage where it hit 95 degrees that week, not from speed at all. I switched to a fresh stack I kept inside and the problem vanished on the first sheet. Now I check where paper has been stored before I touch any settings on the machine. Has anyone else had humidity or heat wreck a run that looked like a printer problem at first?
