Ripped a $1,200 poster run because the proof was in RGB mode
I designed a big 24x36 poster for a music festival last summer. Sent them the PDF and everything looked GREAT on my screen. Turned out my coworker saved the master file in RGB instead of CMYK. The blues came out MUDDY and the neon pink turned into a dull gray. Cost me $1,200 to reprint the whole run of 500 posters. Has anyone else had a color mode mix-up bite them this bad?

Oh man, I feel your pain so hard... I did the exact same thing with a zine cover once. The proof looked amazing on my screen, all these bright oranges and deep reds, but when I got the prints back they came out looking like dirty brown soup. Had to eat the cost on 200 copies because the deadline was already shot. My printer tried to warn me about the RGB thing but I was so sure I knew what I was doing... nope.

Oh man, that brown soup comment hit way too close to home for me too.
