Spent $80 on a 'premium' coolant filter that clogged in 3 hours and turned my machine into a misty disco ball.

What's the most ridiculous 'time saver' that actually cost you more time to fix?

Guess you get what you pay for sometimes.

Honestly it's that whole "smart home" promise for me. Bought a wifi outlet that was supposed to make turning the lamp on easier, but the app needed constant updates and just stopped connecting. Spent more time resetting it than I ever saved.

Got a "self cleaning" litter box that promised to save hours a month. Thing jammed solid on the first cycle, and let's just say the cleanup was way worse than just scooping. Felt like I was on a hazmat team. @fiona_murray is right, you get what you pay for, but sometimes you pay for pure nonsense. That thing was more high maintenance than the cat.
