The $20 harbor freight edge finder I swore would break actually works fine after 2 years
Bought one of those cheap import edge finders on a Friday night when my Mitutoyo one took a dive. Figured it would last a week tops. Still using it on my Bridgeport every day. The spring feels a little loose now but it hasn't snapped or lost accuracy. Anyone else have a cheap tool that just refuses to die?

Saved enough money on that edge finder to buy myself a nice steak dinner. Sometimes the cheap stuff just knows it has to earn its keep.

Gotta admit @oscarm24, I used to be all about name brand everything in the shop. But watching that cheap edge finder do the same job as the expensive one kinda made me rethink things. Sometimes the budget stuff just shows up and gets it done without any fuss.
