Why spending 4 hours writing a script to rename files was way better than doing it manually for 20 minutes

I wrote a Python script to batch rename like 500 photos after my 3rd hour of renaming them one by one for a client project in Chicago, and it only took me 4 hours to code something that saved me maybe 20 minutes of clicking, but honestly the script worked perfectly and now I can reuse it so has anyone else burned an afternoon automating something tiny just to avoid the boring work?

Yo, same boat actually! I used to think scripting was overkill for small stuff but then I spent a whole Sunday coding a bot to rename my music files and now I get it. It's not even about the time saved, it's the satisfaction of never having to do that stupid task again lol.

That 4 hours of coding is basically investing in future you never having to touch that boring task again. I'll happily burn a whole day automating something that saves 10 minutes just for the peace of mind.

Wait, a whole Sunday just for renaming music files? That's wild commitment right there.
